When my husband and I celebrated our first anniversary, we pulled out the top tier of our cake and reminisced about that magical evening. What wasn't magical was the condition of our cake! It was freeze-burned in most places, harder than a rock to cut through, and not worth a second bite when it thawed.
I had an idea then: what if we freeze-dried our cake?
Freeze-dried cakes capture the wedding night's taste, memories, and experiences. Freeze-dried until perfectly preserved, it stores for up to ten years. You can have a wedding cake for the next ten years of your marriage!
How will my cake be preserved?
Once we receive your cake, we will ensure it is handled carefully. Cut into bite-size pieces and placed in a freezer for 24 hours, the flavor is preserved perfectly. Once completely frozen, it will be placed in a high-quality freeze dryer which will undergo a minimum of 24 hours of freezing and drying. The cake pieces will then be stored in mylar bags with an oxygen absorber.
